Better known as the smallmouth bass, swims proud as our champion on Lake Coeur D’Alene. And while I truly enjoy catching other fish throughout the year, none captivate me more than the smallmouth. It’s an honor to convey my enthusiasm for these remarkable creatures to our guests.

Did anyone fish opening day this weekend? I sure did! This last Saturday was opening day for many of our lowland lakes and I wouldn't miss it for anything! Fishing was tougher than past years but, we still boated several nice holdover Rainbow trout as well as some smaller fish. Several of us kept with tradition and anchored our boats close by. We shared food, drinks and many laughs. We even almost lost rods overboard on multiple occasions when the fish would hit hard and we weren't paying attention🤣. Trolling F-5 Flatfish and floating worms off the bottom with Tuna/Garlic scent got it done!
How did everyone else do this weekend? Let's see 'em in the comments!
